Location of Hosts File in Different OS

Below are the location of the Hosts file found in various Operating Systems (OS):


Example for a Hosts File:

# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should

# No need to type the IP the Main computer you can type Main into Address Bar.
